Ordering & Shipping

These terms apply to users of rikutanelitoivonen.com. The terms will be valid for all your future transactions with Riku Taneli Toivonen and visits to rikutanelitoivonen.com. These conditions apply to sales of all products by rikutanelitoivonen.com to private individuals. This website is directed exclusively to private individuals. Riku Taneli Toivonen reserves the right to revise these terms and conditions. Users are responsible for keeping themselves updated with such changes.

Shipping

Please note that most of our products are made to order. We naturally want deliveries to take place as quickly as possible, but we are only able to guarantee delivery within 12 weeks* from order confirmation. Made to order items are dispatched as pallet shipment to front door.

*During summer the delivery times might be longer due to holiday breaks in the production.

Where We Ship

Riku Taneli Toivonen ships worldwide to most countries. If you cannot check out due to shipping limitations, please feel free to contact us, and we will do our best to arrange shipping.

Shipping Cost

Due to the relatively large size and heavy weight of most of our furniture, standard-sized packaging cannot be used. Most of the products are dispatched as pallet shipment to front door. Shipping costs will be calculated after checkout, and a separate invoice for the shipping will be issued. The invoice will be sent via email once we have agreed on the most convenient delivery option for you.

Shipping Timeframes

We will contact you after your order has been placed. All furniture is made to order, and delivery will occur once production is complete. You will be notified of the delivery timeframe when your package is ready to ship.

Riku Taneli Toivonen reserves the right to select the shipping method that ensures the safest and most efficient transportation of the package or pallet. This may occasionally result in longer shipping times, in which case you will be informed.

Please note that the stated timeframes are approximate and do not account for unexpected shipping delays. In some cases, shipments may fall outside the estimated timeframes, particularly for oversized or specialty items.

Delivery

Once the order has been placed, Riku Taneli Toivonen will send you an order confirmation, followed by a tracking e-mail once the package has been sent.

We cannot reroute packages once they have been shipped, so please ensure your shipping details and personal information are accurate at the time of checkout.

Returns

Please note that all the furniture are made to order and they are non-refundable unless damaged or defective.

When you receive your goods, it is important that you check the order immediately. If you have received a wrong order or damaged goods, contact us as soon as possible by email to riku@rikutanelitoivonen.com before you send back anything. Enclose the invoice or receipt so we can identify the return. Riku Taneli Toivonen reserves the right to refuse any returns that have been shipped without a request. The cost of return shipping in the case of a refund or exchange is to be covered by the purchaser. We are unable to provide prepaid shipping labels for returns at this time.

Buyer's Remorse and Right to Cancel

Under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act, private customers have the right to cancel within 14 days. This means you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods. Returned goods must be unused, intact, clean and fit for sale as new. When making use of the right to cancel, the customer bears the return shipping charge. Please note that products that are made to order are non-refundable unless damaged or defective.

Refunds

Refunds are made through the payment type you have chosen. The amount is always refunded to the same account that was used for the purchase as soon as possible once we have received and approved the return.

Damaged Goods

If your item(s) appear to be damaged or have been broken during transportation, please send a photo of the damage, box, and item label along with your order number to riku@rikutanelitoivonen.com. Damaged goods must be reported immediately upon receipt of goods. However, please note that many of our products are hand-made and therefore each possess unique characteristics. Small imperfections are often inherent to the natural materials we work with and are what makes each piece unique.

Faulty items will be replaced by the same type of product, subject to availability.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by Finnish law and you agree that the Finnish courts will have exclusive jurisdiction of any dispute under this agreement. The laws of your country may be different from the laws in Finland and there may be additional legal requirements for you to use this website. You must comply with all applicable local and international laws and regulations regarding your use of our website.
